Good morning everyone,
One of the activities was Gorge Walking. Very, slippery, fun and dangerous!!
First we met with our instructor and then we had to put on really warm clothes and our water proofs. We met in the back yard and selected our helmets then got into the minibus drove to the grave yard where the gorge started from.
Once in the gorge, it was really difficult to move and very challenging. We had to climb and go over trees, climb up water falls, swim through a key hole (a big powerful waterfall with a hole through the middle) and go under the 'Map of Africa rock'. This is a giant rock shaped like Africa. We had go into a pool beneath the rock, put your head through and push yourself through.
The gorge was a little scary because there was only one way out and that was by climbing up through the river.
When we came back we had to wash our water proofs and boots ready for the next school.
Words to sum up the gorge walk: powerful, challenging, exciting and soaking!
See you all later today at 1:00pm.
Joseph, Dielle, Ellie and Ellie
