Welcome to the Broomhouse Primary School camp blog. Read below our pupils' entries each day.
Good morning everyone,
Yesterday we went rock climbing at Benmore. The climbing experience was very scary but fun. We enjoyed it so much that we want to climb Ben Nevis! (The highest mountain in Scotland.)
First we went to the shed and got all our gear and then walked to climbing practice at an indoor wall nearby. After that we walked to a a cliff and got told we had to climb up one side and abseil down the other. As we climbed up we felt worried, excited and a little nauseous but we made it and had fun.
Thank God we didn't have to abseil down because we ran out of time but other groups did and they said, 'Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!' However they really enjoyed it also.
To sum up climbing it was scary, a bit hard but AMAZING fun. We learnt that even though we were really scared, try hard and be brave. If you do this you can succeed in what you want to do.
